The month has mostly flown by between a faulty boiler, travelling to a LARP social event and some serious tidying. Still, I was determined not to strike out on hobbying completely so settled down for a little bit of an assembly session.
First up were these Sartroids for Infinity. They're awful semi-autonomous robots who are really rather unfriendly. They were a dream to put together, with just a few sprue gates to cut off. I think they might be Unicool, I'm unsure. I need to add some basing paste and then I can wait for a break in the weather to get them undercoated.
Someone at SPRU gave me this delightful dwarf, who might be cast in plaster? I'm unsure. In any event, I took one look at him and decided he looked like he would look really nice as some sort of grave marker or memorial, so I've based him on his back and he's going to be painted up as if he's stone.
Finally, I got to try out the Vallejo gap filler I got when I had the heart-breaking realisation that liquid green stuff was no longer in production, and broadly, it's pretty good. It kind of has the consistency and look of tipex. I didn't quite use it right and one of the gaps is still a little evident after undercoating, but it's now small enough it should be pretty easy to cover up.
This meant that I could get this Dungeons and Lasers Minotaur undercoated. I went with a black base, a relatively thorough Zandri Dust spray from the side, and then a light dusting of Wraithbone from the top. With that, he's basically ready for paint.
