SPRU Stuff

I got rather carried away at SPRU and bought far more stuff than I should have. I don't plan on going through everything I bought because that would be a long and potentially tedious post. Rather, here's a few things that particularly jump out at me now, along with what I've thrown onto the assembly tray straight away.

First up are a couple of miniatures from Nigredo Press. I really wanted their show miniature, and while I was there, I decided to pick up their Forbidden Psalm Zosimos miniature while I was at it.

I grabbed a couple of Tine's Frog Knights for the Hazelands setting. I have a tendency towards all the gritty realistic stuff, so decided I needed a little whimsy in my life.

I grabbed a couple of pieces from Somnderian. These are resin casts - one is a cast of an antler that I'm going to use as a weird bit of scenery, the other is a very tall feminine body that isn't a complete miniature and is intended to be the base of kitbashes. It's a very different approach to "here's a miniature with a purpose" - it's more "here's things I made, which you can use as the basis of your own art.

I picked up a few pieces from Keira Kreations, which is pretty fortunate as apparently she sold out super early! I picked up a Sharp Goblin, Tod Mucklebones, a maggot swarm and a dungeon door. The door was an impulse purchase looking for a project. I'm unsure what it will be, but it will be something.

So, here's the stuff I've immediately put to one side to Do Something With, mostly due to the challenges of storage. The finsterfey miniature sadly has a broken mace because despite being warned he was fragile, I am a ham fisted fool. I didn't trust the plaster dwarf to survive long without some protective coating, and there's various bits and pieces who weren't really packaged. There's a metal bat under the back of scenery bits at the back, too.

The key thing, though, is that I already have a whole bunch of stuff assembled. What I could really do with is finishing painting a few bits and pieces, so they can be put away and some new things assembled to fill the space. Setting some time aside for a little hobby last week was absolutely delightful, so I'm keen to try and make it a more regular habit.
